What can we say? We have fans and they just keep on saying such wonderful things about our shows.
After our Woy Woy show we received these gems from some of the audience who attended…
“…a tremendous job in bringing the Goons back to life and… an excellent crew of talented gentlegoons. It was great to see so many young people there. Hopefully the Goons will live on to another generation (or two)” – this is from David, thank you kind sir.
Jenny sent us this; “Show was amazing! Took my dad for Fathers Day and he had a ball. Was a great walk down memory lane. Highly recommend this show!” – we’re blushing now…
Then Geoff sent us this note; “This show captured the anarchic fun of the Goons, while showcasing some eerily accurate portrayals of Milligan and Sellers. Highleeee Recommended Jim!”
The Goon Show LIVE! gang just can’t get enough admiration from audiences who flock to our shows.
Our most recent one at Woy Woy went off!… and here are some more reviews which have been sent in by our adoring fans;
Sari wrote, “…the performers succeeded in “taking” the audience into the classic, crazy show.”
We’re quite chuffed about Janet and John’s note; “Travelled over 100 kilometres to once again see a very talented team of actors who brought laughter and enjoyment.” – Gosh, we’re very pleased to have seen you again at our shows – and thank you!
Then there’s this from Robert; “I haven’t laughed like that for years. I had tears in my eyes, especially the banter between Minnie and Henry”
Since last week’s ‘On the Spike’ show at Woy Woy, we’ve been receiving some wonderful audience reviews; here’s a sample of what’s been sent in over the last week…
“…admirable performances all round apart from a minor fluff when it came to rounding out hairy bald-headed men. The only thing missing was a good and proper Bluebottle deading.” – from Luke
Phil wrote; “Really enjoyed the show. Listened to the Goon show with my Dad every weekend and it really took me back. Well done with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Definately a nice relaxed way to enjoy the goons !”
Clearly Barbara loved the show too… “Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Close your eyes & you were sitting around the wireless listening. The show was excellently written and produced.”
There’s not much we can say about this fan… except that she really, really loved The Goon Show LIVE!
Sue came to our Yulefest Blue Mountains dinner and show last week…
Which Goon Show character is this?
For those of you who want a true Winter Wonderland Yulefest Blue Mountains experience, we have snow laid on especially for you in Katoomba.

And yes… we gotta say it;
There’s snow business like snow business!
We feel that we have to share this wonderful review sent to us by Robin of Blacktown NSW, who attended our dinner and show last weekend on Saturday 11th July 2015.
Here’s his unedited review…
We thought the ‘recording studio’ setup worked really well, complete with the replica period microphones. The guys were all great, even Blind Freddy would have loved it, because the voices and interaction between the characters was so good that a visual connection wasn’t necessary.
The only thing, and I do mean only thing that took a bit of getting used to was the musical interludes. Fortunately, the gentleman does have plenty of musical merit, so the breaks weren’t hard to take.
Robin Queree’s rendition of Spike was the standout for us, no mean feat to imitate such a unique comic genius, and to do it with such apparent ease.
Well done everyone, and yes, we’d see it again, especially if they were doing different episodes.
There are only 3 shows left; get your Yulefest dinner and show tickets here.
Audiences seem to be enjoying themselves so much during this year’s Yulefest Blue Mountains season, that we appear to have caused the odd bodily malfunction; at least according to Glenda who came to last Saturday’s show with hubby Hugo.
Here’s her ‘review’…
While not a goon show fan I did enjoy watching my “I love the Goon-show” husband Hugo laugh so much that his drink came out of his nose.
She went on to write, “The food & overall set up at The Blue Hotel was excellent.”
Experience this for yourself; only 3 shows to go. Get your tickets here.
